In 2014, they discovered Randy had a rapidly metastasizing form of terminal cancer and after only a few short months, he was gone.
This interview explores the unfolding experience of grief, loss and the nature of desire. What do we live for when we have what we always wanted and it is taken away? The truth is all of us must face our own deaths and the deaths of those we hold the most dear. However, in our society, this subject is taboo. We just don't know how to approach death, how to talk about it or how to best support each other when we are grieving. Yet, remarkably, in approaching grief and fully living the grieving process, we may find an otherwise unfathomable richness and depth to life and to our work. In this, we may discover pain is not what we think it is, uncovering the gifts of the darkest night of the soul.
Despite immeasurable loss, Lissa's guiding light burns brightly in turbulent times, pointing us inward towards our reserves of strength, courage, and capacity to TRUST while rising solidly to the challenges we face personally and collectively.
